continuing education credits. 24 of these credits in
authorities for which the producer is licensed and an
additional six credits in approved courses related to
insurance fraud, or professional ethics.
Licensed or renewed after 01/01/07:

hours biennially, including 3 hours of ethics.

Types of courses accepted for CE Credit
• Self-study
• Classroom study
• On
line courses.
Course Subject
Requirements
• Any course approved for CE in
NJ may be taken for credit.
• 3 Hours of Ethics.
• For the first renewal occuring after 01/01/07,
property producers selling flood must also complete a 3
hour training class on flood insurance and the
NFIP.
Carryover Requirements
Carryover of excess CE credit hours is NOT
allowed.
Final
Exam
Self-study final exams
are required to be monitored by a disinterested third
party.
Course Repetition
Credit will not be given for courses taken
more than once in a four-year period.
Exemptions
Effective 11/4/02, no resident producers can
be exempted from meeting the continuing education
requirement.
